Do you travel light or heavy?
Heavy; like my heart when missing home. If you can't decide what to bring - pack EVERYTHING.
Cattle or first class?
Let's go cattle so we can shop away the savings upon arrival.
I can't travel without...
My cellphone. The model's called a "Sidekick" - it's my sixth best friend.
What type of suitcase do you carry?
It's not ladylike to heft and heave. I roll with wheels on my suitcase.
What's always in your hand luggage?
Gummy bears on the flight over, shoeboxes on the return trip.
Are you a planner or last minute packer?
I've got last minute packing down to a fierce art-form. Spectators, beware.
What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?
Polaroid photos from interviewing my favourite band of all time in Sydney last year.
Favourite or most exciting airport to land in?
The trains at Hong Kong airport excite me greatly. I heart trains. But I also delight in landing back in Auckland after being away for far too long.
Best packing tip?
Don't forget your toothbrush.
Most memorable trip?
Touring in a van with five boys who may, or may not, have had showers recently... A fate I would not wish upon any mortal enemy.
What do you do while on the plane?
Berate myself for watching too many episodes of Lost and other aviation nightmares. Wonder if I can be bothered to pull my laptop out from overhead storage. Hope the plane meal will be fun.
