Do you travel light or heavy?
When I'm on tour I pack heavy. There's not always time to do washing!
Cattle or first class?
Flying to Australia I don't mind flying economy at all. Flying to the US or the UK I always fly business.
I can't travel without...
My iPod. I need music.
What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?
Since I was a kid I have always been fascinated by Ned Kelly. So I went on a tour of the Melbourne jail to see the cell where he spent his last days and where he was eventually hung. In the reception area was a Ned Kelly replica mask which I brought home as a memento.
Favourite or most exciting airport to land in?
Probably not the most exciting but my favourite airport to land in is Christchurch Airport coz it means I'm home again.
Most memorable trip?
My most memorable trip would be my last trip to Samoa, post-tsunami. It was a great feeling to been able to raise a lot of money and take it back to the motherland with my Dawn Raid friends. We got to see the damage first hand, we helped build shelters, we put on a concert and got to meet a lot of special people along the way. My grandparents came here with a dream of a better life for their children. It was awesome to go full circle and actually give back. A trip I will never forget.
