Do you travel light or heavy?
Light in summer, heavy in winter.
Cattle or first class?
Having been brought up on a farm, I am quite comfortable with cattle.
I can't travel without...
My iPod.
What type of suitcase do you carry?
Carry-on if possible, or I have a Burton bag that splits with loads of compartments for longer trips.
What's always in your hand luggage?
Macbook and a toothbrush.
Are you a planner or last-minute packer?
Generally last minute.
What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?
A hand-crafted backgammon set from Istanbul.
Favourite or most exciting airport to land in?
Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Spain.
Best packing tip?
Always pack that extra pair of boxers.
Most memorable trip?
A ski trip to a small field called La Grave, with no formal avalanche control, known as the mecca of off-piste skiing in France, following a 80cm dump. It's hard to describe the anticipation that everyone in the queue felt whilet we waited for the gondola to open that morning.
What do you do while on the plane?
Read, listen to iPod, catch up on movies I haven't seen, knock back a few glasses of vin rouge, then catch a few zzzz's.
