Do you travel light or heavy?

Light.

Cattle or first class?

Only business class on long flights.

I can't travel without...

Black non-crushable New Zealand woollen clothes such as Icebreaker, Untouched World and Keith Matheson that you can dress up or down.

What type of suitcase to you carry?

One black bag and one suit bag like the crew have.

What's always in your hand luggage?

I always take my diary.

Are you a planner or last minute packer?

I travel so often that it doesn't take long to pack these days.

What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?

Best thing I have brought back was a violin from Europe made in 1697.

Favourite or most exciting airport to land in?

The old Hong Kong airport.

Best travel tip?

Long haul flights are a good place to set new goals.

Most memorable trip?

Most memorable is seeing the coast of New Zealand when returning home. It is so beautiful.

What do you do while on the plane?

Try to write and read. Drink plenty of water. Easy on booze and take a melatonine to sleep.
