My laptop, ipod and a mountain bike. The bike only adds another 15kg and is the best way of getting around a tight schedule to inner-city theatres or throwing myself down the nearest mountain. Highlights include riding up to the Christ in Rio, round Angkor Wat in Cambodia, and a night in Paris.
What type of suitcase do you carry?
The perfect cabin bag, the 38-litre Kathmandu Litehaul with zip-a-way backpack. The bike goes in a Groundeffect Bodybag, which folds up to flat A4 and slips in the backpack.
Are you a planner or last-minute packer?
Its down to a fine last-minute art. Thirty minutes for a quick trip, 90 minutes for a few weeks.
Favourite or most exciting airport to land in?
Wellington, because it means that I am home. It can be exciting too!
Most memorable trip?
Watching the extraordinary Royale Deluxe show, The Giant, His Hand, and the Little Girl which took over Antwerp for a three-day street theatre show. With 7.5-metre tall marionettes walking the streets, and an audience of one million, it was a truly spellbinding spectacle.
