Do you travel light or heavy?
Getting lighter all the time. Amazing how many days in a row one can wear the same pair of jeans.
Cattle or first class?
Wouldn't it be nice to have the choice? Cattle of course.
I can't travel without...
A hard copy of my itinerary, as I tend to confuse departure and landing times and have missed more than one flight!
What's always in your hand luggage?
An all-engrossing book. And Visine and chapstick in my pocket.
What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?
Red shoes from Spain.
Favourite or most exciting airport to land in?
Anegada, British Virgin Islands. Teeny, tiny dirt landing-strip. The island's population turned out to meet the plane.
Most memorable trip?
Sailing, for the first time, with my family and friends along the Dalmatian Coast. The Adriatic Sea is literally sapphire blue. Visiting Marco Polo's home of Korcula and understanding his insatiable wanderlust.
What do you do while on the plane?
Drink complimentary wine and watch the movies.
