The old MLC building opposite the Auckland Town Hall in Queen St now welcomes guests as the Scenic Circle Airedale Hotel Auckland.
The former insurance company offices have been converted into a 94-room three-star hotel.
The Airedale is the first in Auckland for the New Zealand-owned hotel group.
