Chaya Bruck and her children were kicked off the flight.
A two-year-old girl was kicked off a plane, because she refused to wear a mask for the duration of the flight.
Chaya Bruck, the child's mother, was flying with her daughter from Orlando to Newark in the US on Wednesday.
It is understood Bruck, who lives in Brooklyn, was flying alone with her six children when she got into an argument with the flight attendant about her daughter having to wear a mask.
"He said no, she has to cover her nose and her mouth, and I said I could try but then she was pulling it off," Bruck told NBC New York.
"A few minutes later, they came to me and they told me that I have to gather my things and I have to get off the plane."
Bruck said she refused to disembark the JetBlue flight, and that fellow passengers agreed she was being unfairly treated by the cabin crew and that she should stay on board.
Moments later, everyone had to disembark.
"They were horribly nasty; my kids were crying. Really traumatising," Bruck said of the ordeal.
"I asked them, 'Should I tie her hands and feet? What do you want me to do?' They just wanted me off the plane."
It's not the first time a child has been kicked off a plane in light of new mask-wearing regulations enforced by some airlines.
Earlier this month, a woman slammed US airline Southwest after they allegedly booted her three-year-old autistic boy off a flight because he would not wear a face mask.
Alyssa Sadler booked a Southwest Airlines flight from Midland in Texas to Houston with her son and one-year-old daughter when the incident occurred.
According to CNN, the flight started taxiing away from the gate before returning when the young boy would not keep his mask on.
"He was screaming. He was throwing a fit. He was screaming, 'No, no, no,'" Ms Sadler said.
"They're going over the security safety features and all that, and the flight attendant walks by and tells me that he has to put a mask on."
"So, I try to put the mask on him. He is three and has autism and sensory processing disorders, so he wouldn't keep the mask on."
Both Southwest and JetBlue have strict regulations in place, meaning all passengers over the age of two need to wear a mask or some form of face covering throughout the duration of the flight.
Southwest's official policy states that "if a customer is unable to wear a face covering for any reason, Southwest regrets that we are unable to transport the individual. In those cases, we will issue a full refund and hope to welcome the customer on board in the future, if public health guidance regarding face coverings changes."
JetBlue have a similar standard, with children aged two and over required to wear a face covering, consistent with CDC guidelines.
