The Washington Post has listed New Zealand among its hot destinations for 2004.
It puts New Zealand at No 8 among its top 10 overseas places to visit in the coming year.
"RV-ing around this otherworldy country can be Hobbit forming," it told its readers.
An RV is a "recreational vehicle", such as a caravan or motorhome.
The Post's top three non-American destinations were Athens, the Bahamas and Botswana.
