The poetry and letters of lovers during world wars, wedding dresses made from parachute silk, brooches, necklaces and souvenirs made from bullets and Perspex are on display in Let the Heart Take Flight, an exhibition at Christchurch's Air Force Museum which looks at how people made do during wartime rationing.
Open until August 31, admission is $10 for adults and $5, children.
