The museum houses striking displays of New Zealand's military heritage, and explores the role of the Army in shaping the country's identity.
The exhibits include life-size dioramas that use artefacts, photographs and audio-visual displays, and the museum also offers research facilities and archives.
There is a shop, cafe and good restroom facilities. Open daily except Christmas Day, 9am to 4.30pm.
