Britain's countryside walking paths are reopening as restrictions on visiting rural areas are lifted, and self-guided inn-to-inn walks are an option to consider.
In Scotland, the West Highland Way is an eight-day walk through the Scottish Highlands, from Loch Lomond to Ben Nevis. A special escorted trip departs on July 28 and costs around $2260, twin share.
Further south, the Cornish Coastal Path is also now open, where an eight-day walk along the south-west coast includes accommodation in many historical inns and hotels and costs $1558 twin share.
The escorted version of the walk departs on September 1 and costs ($1678) twin share.
