The Run 79 Lake Tekapo Mountain Bike Pursuit takes place at Tekapo on Sunday June 5. The easy 90km ride follows shingle roads with gentle undulations and no major hill climbs.
The course crosses the braided Godley River, then meanders past stations and skirts the lake before finishing in Tekapo. The event is open to individuals or teams of two, and entrants must pre-register. Entry forms are online.
