Northland has a feast of fun to offer this weekend.
Saturday and Sunday are Tutukaka's fly-fishing tournament days, while Lower Port Rd in Whangarei has stock and saloon cars racing from 1 pm on Saturday.
There's a Summer Garden Tour between 10 am and 4 pm in Whangarei, and on Saturday night "At Large in the Barge" puts on a variety of free displays, a Top Team event and a concert for evening picnickers in Barge Park.
On Sunday, jog from Onerahi Beach to the Whangarei Town Basin - a 10km fun run and walk.
At night Dame Malvina Major sings at the Barge Park Showgrounds for Opera in the Garden, starting at 4.30 pm. Tickets are $35.
