Small to medium sized companies are being offered the opportunity to stretch travel budgets further and earn benefits in a new United Airlines incentive scheme.
Companies apply for Perks Plus on United's New Zealand website and can use it for all bookings made on United, either directly on the website or through their travel agent.
The scheme works in conjunction with United's popular Mileage Plus frequent flyer program, which provides individuals with rewards. It allows both the travelling staff member and the company to earn miles that can be redeemed for a range of benefits such as upgrades, free travel on board United or its Star Alliance airline partners, hotel accommodation and rental car hire.
An added Perks Plus bonus for management is the system's automatic tracking of flight expenses and quarterly reporting of expenditure and benefits accrued. As the Perks Plus benefits are awarded to the company, management can determine how they are to be redeemed and by whom.
United's General Manager New Zealand Stephen Pearse said Perks Plus has been introduced to reward small and medium sized business for flying with the airline.
