Travel to North Pole

The North Pole is no longer solely the preserve of the super-rich adventurer, says the specialist tour operator Polar Travel.

The British-based company offers a specialist guide service which includes a helicopter flight from the base, enabling travellers to reach stand at the Pole no matter what their age or fitness level.

Guided treks include two and five-day action-packed trips, and the company promises the treks are suitable for anyone of normal fitness. The more adventurous can consider one and two-week sledge-hauling expeditions.
