Jetstar launches sale on international flights from New Zealand

Thousands of international fares are on sale.

Jetstar has announced a sale of international one-way fares today, with some as low as $130.

The “All Abroad Sale” includes fares on several international destinations such as Australia, the Cook Islands, Japan, South Korea, Bali, Thailand and Singapore.

Hamiltonians are in luck; the cheapest fares on offer include Hamilton to Sydney for $130 one way, or to Gold Coast for $139. On average, these flights typically cost around $200 and $250, respectively.

The fares include 7kg of carry-on baggage and an additional 20kg of luggage can be added to a booking for $29.

Other fares include Auckland to Sydney from $149 and Dunedin to Gold Coast from $155. Travellers must purchase fares for specific dates, which vary according to the route selection but run from February to late November 2025.

Travel dates vary according to the route selected, but include February to late November 2025. Discounted fares will be available until 11.59pm on Sunday, January, 19, unless sold out prior.

Several flights are subject to “government and regulatory approval” according to the sale’s terms and conditions. The routes include Hamilton to Gold Coast or Sydney, Dunedin to Gold Coast and Christchurch to Cairns.

Jetstar’s international sale comes hot on the heels of its surprise domestic sale last Friday, where more than 30,000 seats were reduced to as little as $35 each way, excluding bags.

Air New Zealand has also started the year by slashing airline prices with a ”New Year Sale” on January 6. The airline discounted thousands of flights in one of its largest sales. More than 300,000 seats to 27 international and all 20 domestic destinations on Air NZ’s network were part of the sale.
