Best place for a morning run?
Along the coast. Sydney has amazing beaches so it would be a pity to not enjoy a sunrise beach run. If you're not close to the beach, you can't go past the bay run. It starts in Lilyfield and you run around Iron Cove. You've got the cove on one side and parkland on the other.
And a refreshing dip in the ocean?
Coogee. If you head to the north side of the beach you'll find Giles Baths, a bogey hole, protected by natural rock. At high tide, waves crash into the pool making for a fun afternoon. Search "Sydney rock pools" on Townske for more information.
What's a harbourside spot for lunch?
Without doubt, Woolloomooloo wharf. There are plenty of dining options and the atmosphere is great. If you're skint, the famous Harrys Cafe de Wheels around the corner has meat pies or hot dogs.
Can you recommend a great local walk?
You can walk from Bondi to Coogee in about 1½ to 2 hours. It's a great track with amazing views and, of course, beaches. Walk over the clifftops and discover the Eastern Suburbs coastline. Search "Bondi to Coogee" on Townske as someone has created a guide on this walk.
If the weather isn't so hot, what's the best thing to do?
A walk through Centennial Park on a cool morning is pretty special. Outside of that, I like to find a cafe and watch people go by.
Where do you go for a great cocktail?
Eau De Vie at 229 Darlinghurst Rd, Darlinghurst. Its main bar has 500+ spirits and an impressive list of cocktails. There's also a whisky room behind the main bar where you can have a quiet drink.
Where's the best place to go shopping for great local labels?
O'Connell Street Merchants above Brewtown Newtown is an interesting place. Each season they select a range of men's and women's labels, homewears and accessories.
What's Sydney's best-kept secret?
Some of its beaches, I don't want to call out what ones as there are so many. Take time to study the coastline and go to a small beach.
