I am not usually enamoured by technology but I did feel my heart go a-flutter on several occasions, when holding the sexy Samsung Galaxy S.
It looks like and feels like an iPhone, only lighter, and seems to do most of the things that I need, like connect to Google and social networking sites, consult a fast map application, and take and store photos.
But what I was most impressed with was the Write and Go application. An extended keypad made it easy to jot down ideas, and a vibrating keypad lets you know when you have hit a letter.
There is also a sweep function. It would definitely revolutionise the way we roaming reviewers file from gigs and travel writers weave together the notes for their features.
I also made use of the Aldiko Books app - the pages may be as small as my palm, but the screens and letters are easy to read and it would certainly take a load off my shoulders when flying.
The Samsung Galaxy S has a RRP of $999.
