If you're travelling overseas and plan to meet up with friends or relations, it can be quite a problem to know what to take as gifts.
How do you find something that's easy to pack, everyone will like and which has a Kiwi flavour without being too kitsch?
Devonport Chocolates have come up with a smart solution to the dilemma in the form of its new Kiwiana Bars. These are bars of the company's trademark chocolate - which I know from personal experience is yummy - in special wrappers carrying some delightful paintings by Devonport artist Fraser Williamson.
There's a Devonport bar (strawberry and hazelnut chocolate), Auckland (dark chocolate and hokey pokey) and New Zealand (milk chocolate and hokey pokey) and the wrappers reflect each of those places in a distinctive and entertaining way.
The bars cost from $9.90 to $11.50 depending on where you buy them.
Devonport Chocolates is at 17 Wynyard St, Devonport, or see www.devonportchocolates.co.nz.
