A night's sleep and a 1555km journey aboard Australia's long- distance train, The Ghan, are part of a 12-day Australian Red Centre tour next month.
Rolling out of Alice Springs Station at 1 pm, there will be plenty of time to view the Red Centre of the Northern Territory before the train makes its way to Adelaide.
Sleeping accommodation and meals aboard are all first class with luxury facilities. The fully-escorted tour with guide Allison Elliott leaves from Auckland on July 25, and includes two-night stays in Sydney, Ayers Rock, Alice Springs and four nights in Adelaide. The return flight to Auckland is on August 5.
The trip cost is $4575, twin share with a single supplement of $1090.
