Tamarama beach is a small stretch of sand tucked in the headland south of Bondi. Nicknamed "Glamarama" by the locals, expect to see plenty of toned and tanned bodies lying out in the sun. In November, everyone shares the sand with artworks from the inaugural Sculpture by the Sea exhibition.

This Bay of Plenty beach sees plenty of beach babes during summer - especially when the Miss Mt Maunganui pageant takes place. The pageant's claim to fame is producing a Miss Universe contestant back in 1987. Camping sites right by the beach are hot property but you'd better get in quick as they book out years in advance.
