New Zealand's world-class military aviation museum near Christchurch boasts 28 restored aircraft such as Spitfire, Canberra, Harvard, Vampire, Skyhawk and Mustang.
There's a history gallery that evokes the nostalgia of yesteryear as it delves into the tragedies and triumphs of New Zealanders who shaped our history.
Other displays allow visitors to sit in an aircraft gun turret or a bomb shelter, and even try a flight simulator.
Visitors can tour behind the scenes to the restoration hangar.
Open 10am to 5pm daily except Christmas Day.
