Tennis: Ranking fight

Lindsay Davenport and Kim Clijsters, battling to claim the year-end world No 1 tennis ranking, head the two round-robin groups for next week's WTA Tour Championships in Los Angeles. World No 1 Davenport heads the green group, which also includes defending champion Maria Sharapova and Nadia Petrova (Russia) and Swiss Patty Schnyder. Clijsters heads the black group that also includes Russian Elena Dementieva and Mary Pierce and Amelie Mauresmo (France).
