Many of the magnificent sights on Lake Tarawera are only accessible by boat, but don't despair if you don't have your own vessel. The Lake Tarawera water taxi will transport you and even your kayak - whether it's across to the thermal pools at Hot Water beach, to the start of a walking track, or to the Landing Cafe for dinner.
