Close to three million people have made Fallingwater one of the busiest open homes in America since its owners moved out and left it for the tourists.
The woodland home, designed by American Frank Lloyd Wright in 1935, spreads over a waterfall near Pittsburgh. It is part of a tour of the architect's buildings, leaving New Zealand on October 1.
The 18-day tour, costing $NZ9995 a person, is led by Wright enthusiast and New Zealand Historic Places editor Dr John Wilson.
The tour crosses the United States from east to west, visiting more than 30 buildings.
