Take a ride

The non-profit International League for the Protection of Horses (NZ) has released this year's brochure, "Where to Ride in New Zealand".

The brochure lists dozens of riding and trekking operations, all of which have been vetted by the league and deemed to meet the standards required by the 1999 Animal Welfare Act. The list may not include all reputable operators, but it's a good starting point for anyone planning on going horse riding.
