Platypus-spotting and wombat-watching feature highly in pre-breakfast adventure walks in the New South Wales' Highlands. The early-morning bush walk is part of a two-night, mid-week bed-and-breakfast package at Berrima Lodge on the Wingecarribee River.
Former nurse Pat Fulton and her husband Ken have been pampering guests for six years and offer a mid-week special of $A230 a couple, with luxury accommodation, pre-dinner drinks, after-dinner port and chocolates, the bush walk followed by a cooked breakfast plus a $A40 dinner voucher to be used at one of the local restaurants.
Weekend packages cost $A340 a couple for two nights.
