Carnival Cruise Lines will reposition its superliners Ecstasy to Los Angeles and Fascination to Miami to run three and four-day programmes from those ports, starting in May 2001. The liner Holiday will be deployed to San Juan next June to launch a seven-day, six-port itinerary featuring a different southern Caribbean island each day.
The Ecstasy's move to Los Angeles represents a 40 per cent capacity increase on Carnival's three- and four-day West Coast departures. Positioning the Fascination, built in 1994, in Miami provides a newer vessel with a Hollywood-themed interior design on this popular itinerary.
