New Zealand students can work, travel and play from Florida's sunny beaches to some of America's best skifields through a work experience programme.
Aimed at full-time students aged 18 to 30, the programme offers a variety of jobs, including those for ski instructors, ski-lift operators and ticketers, hotel receptionists, waiting staff and bartenders.
Work Experience USA is approved by the American Government and offers two options. The security option places students in a job where the pay, hours, conditions and bonuses are confirmed in writing before the traveller leaves New Zealand.
The independence option allows students to find their own jobs. Visas are provided plus return airfares from Auckland to San Francisco.
International Exchange Programmes (IEP) also seeks fulltime tertiary students for jobs over the New Zealand summer. Last year 1000 students worked in a wide variety of jobs.
