After a relaxing four-day Easter break, you're hopefully reading this feeling refreshed and ready to face a new (short) week. Or perhaps not.
New research from Expedia has found that although Kiwis use up all our annual leave entitlements each year (20 days), 53 per cent of us still feel "vacation deprived".
Don't tell that to friends in Japan though; apparently they end the year having taken only 10 days — half of their holiday allowance. As for our neighbours across the ditch, they're likely to finish up each year with five days left unused.
If you're already looking at a lack of leave for the year ahead, don't panic. Regular, short breaks can be just as rewarding. This week's issue showcases some great options for autumn, from volcanic adventures to luxury lodges. Deprive yourself no more.
