If you spent your summer cursing the number of tourists visiting your local area or favoured holiday spot, apparently you're in the minority.
The latest Mood of the Nation survey, undertaken by Kantar TNS and jointly funded by Tourism New Zealand and Tourism Industry Aotearoa, has found that 42 per cent of Kiwis think the number of international tourists visiting our shores is just right, and 27 per cent think we have too few visitors.
The survey, conducted biannually, takes a nationally representative sample of 500 adult New Zealanders, and it appears the general mood is positive.
But you've really got to wonder about the 8 per cent of respondents who didn't agree with the statement: "I want international visitors to have an enjoyable NZ experience."
