Step to it in Pokeno

Cyclists, walkers and joggers will take to the countryside around Pokeno for the Wheels and Heels Fun Day on Sunday March 21.

The 32km and 60km cycle courses are suitable for recreational and competitive cyclists, with walkers and joggers following a course of about 10km.

The entry fee for each event is $15, and proceeds go to Pokeno School.

Early registration (online or by phone) is preferred but late entries will be accepted on the day.

There will be a free bike safety programme, games for children under 10, as well as spot prizes and giveaways, including bikes.

After the events, food and craft stalls will be set up in the school grounds. Facilities are available for camping on Saturday night.
