'Steam up Days' in Nelson

If you're travelling in the Nelson/Golden Bay area, look out for "Steam Up Days", when machinery museums crank up their equipment.

The Pigeon Valley Steam Museum at Wakefield is open every day and has a steam-up day on the first Sunday of every month.

The Golden Bay Machinery and Settlers Museum at Rockville, near Collingwood, boasts steaming traction and stationary engine displays, trucks, tractor and balers and other historical farm machinery.
