Comedian, TV presenter
KEY POINTS:
The best holiday I've ever had was...
On Tokoriki Resort in Fiji; I had been to Fiji before and been let down. Tokoriki was an outer island with beautiful food, amazing hospitality and no TV. You have your own bure, hammock and little slice of beach with gorgeous ocean to swim in. I have been to many places but this was the definition of paradise. I think the kava helped!
The worst was...
Renner Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. It was the only place to stay within 500km. The rooms were full of lizards and frogs, the people were racist and the beer cost $80 New Zealand for a slab (24). It seems some of the Kiwi bias against Australia is true.
With endless time and money I'm off to...
Explore Japan, then a first class train ride from St Petersburg to Vladivostok. Apparently the train line covers about a fifth of the Earth's circumference. Or a couple of beers in Greymouth.
The best travel advice I have is...
Always smile, never think your culture is more advanced than your hosts' and don't be afraid to do something new.
I never leave home without...
Passport, knife and money for duty free.
