Auckland's Heritage Week runs September 4-10, paying tribute to the city's past and celebrating its historic assets.
Many events are scheduled, most of which will be free or require a small donation.
Special attractions include daily activities such as half-price cruises to Rangitoto and high tea at the Heritage Hotel.
