WHAKAPAPA
Snow is forecast for the weekend at this northern field, bringing an end to what has been mostly sunny school holiday weather. The field has a base of about 65cm, mostly hard packed powder on trail while off trail runs can be icy. Some lifts operating.
TUROA
Firm packed snow with wind-scoured icy patches on trail. Very icy off trail. Staff recommend staying on groomed trails. Fine and clear weather, with a temperature of 0 degrees. High chill factor. Possibility of cold front swooping in this weekend. Some lifts operating.
MT HUTT
A firm-packed base of about 40-55cm of winter snow covering the main trails. Icy off trail. All beginners terrain ski-able with over half intermediate runs open. All lifts operating. Weather looking unsettled for weekend, a possibility of southerlies early next week. Competitive events kick off this weekend with the K2 Skier X this Saturday, and the Nitro On Boarder X on Sunday.
CARDRONA
Winter snow on a firm base. Current snow base is between 30-85cm with about 80 per cent of terrain able to be skiied. All main trails are open. Off piste snow variable and suitable for advanced skiiers and boarders only. All lifts and facilities operating. Weather is forecast to deteriorate over the weekend with wintry temperatures and the possibility of snow.
TREBLE CONE
Fresh man-made snow on main trails with a base of 40-60cm on lower slopes, and 1m on the upper mountain. All lifts bar one operating. Terrain park open. Possibility of snow this weekend.
CORONET PEAK
The field is extremely busy with Winter Festival in full swing. Fine conditions are expected to remain through the week though the weekend may bring a cold change. All lifts operating except one. Snow depth varies to 50cm. Hard packed snow on trails.
REMARKABLES
Similar conditions to its above sister field, though it is a quieter option. Upper slopes boast 80cm of snow, while the lower slopes have a depth of about 60cm. Snow is hard-packed off piste. All lifts open. Changeable conditions over weekend. Terrain Park open.
