Simple airport hack to make sure your suitcase arrives first

The waiting game by the baggage carousel is an annoying one. When will your bag appear? And, more worrying even, will it ever appear?

It's especially frustrating when you're on a tight schedule and need to get somewhere.

According to Travel+Leisure, savvy travellers use one simple trick to make sure they don't have to stand around waiting for their bags - and it doesn't cost them any extra.

To make sure your bags are some of the first to appear, just ask an airline representative at the check-in counter to put a "fragile" label on them.

This sticker means the bag will usually be loaded on to the plane last and then come out first.

Another, slightly riskier, way of achieving the same goal is to try being the last person to check in for your flight.

Checking in last means your bag will be loaded last and, therefore, come out of the plane first.
