Schooner or later

Take a lazy afternoon at Auckland's Viaduct Basin a little further, and step aboard Arcturus.

The lovingly restored 1930 schooner, once owned by US General George S. Patton, is moored on the waterfront, waiting to whisk away passengers.

Trips include afternoon excursions, full day or weekend journeys, and week-long charters well away from Auckland.

Gourmet delicatessen Rockfords comes aboard when the ship is chartered for corporate entertaining. Twelve people can take a four-hour twilight cruise for $1500. At the moment, corporate bookings have a chance to win back the cruise price.
