Justine Tyerman stays at a luxurious fifth-floor apartment in McMahons Point.
Check-in experience? I was checked in at La Corniche by Luxe Houses CEO Jessica Kirkpatrick who manages 200 prestigious rental properties in Australia and New Zealand.
Where? The whole fifth floor in a boutique harbourside apartment building at McMahons Pt, Sydney. Access is by private lift from the secure, locked garage.
Rooms? The three-bedroom, four-bathroom 300sqm apartment has 14 rooms.
View? Spectacular Sydney panoramas from every window and balcony: Luna Park, Opera House, Harbour Bridge, downtown Sydney. Even more stunning at night.
Services? La Corniche comes with a concierge and bespoke services. You name it, Jessica will arrange it: In-house celebrity chef, spa treatments, nanny, personal shopper, luxury superyacht, private charter jet, helicopter transfer and even a spin in a fighter jet.
Living? The living area has an eight-seater white leather couch and there's a comfy leather armchair/footstool in one of the huge picture windows. Powerful binoculars mounted on a tripod allow you to spy on cruise ship passengers. There are five television sets, a comprehensive sound system and marble floors.
Outside facilities? Floor-to-ceiling doors open on to balcony and superb outdoor entertainment area.
Kitchen? German Gaggenau appliances, Nespresso machine, marble benches, butler's pantry and laundry adjoining the kitchen.
Dining? An eight-seater round dining table with views of Sydney's sights.
Bedrooms? Three spacious bedrooms with king and queen beds, superbly comfortable with finest linen. The master bedroom is huge and has a dressing room, balcony and harbour view.

Bathrooms? Three tiled en-suite bathrooms, two with spa baths, one with a glass-walled hydrotherapy shower and bidet. The master en suite has a stunning view of the bridge and Opera House so you can sight-see while you bathe. There's also a guest bathroom/powder room.
Other rooms? A boardroom with rustic antique double doors and table adjoins the living area with sliding doors, to separate the room for meetings or a small conference.
Exercise facilities? Heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and fitness room within the complex.
Food and beverage? Order in from the bespoke menu, walk a few steps to Sails Restaurant or catch the ferry to Circular Quay or Darling Harbour from McMahons Pt ferry wharf directly below La Corniche.
Entertaining? Have guests for drinks at the marble-top bar where rich and famous clientele including Gerard Butler and Ronan Keating have entertained their friends.
Perfect for ... An extra-special family occasion worthy of a few days in extreme luxury, or for business people, VIP client entertainment, product launches, advertising campaigns, photo shoots and small conferences.
Price? $2000 a night, off peak, or $40,000 for the Christmas-New Year week when guests have box seats for the spectacular harbour bridge fireworks display.
Who owns it? La Corniche is one of Luxe Houses' flagship properties, owned by a Kiwi family and managed by Luxe Houses.
