Collections usually displayed in private homes, and glimpsed only by family and friends, are now on view in Huntly in two showings at the Waikato Coalfields Museum.
The first show runs until Saturday and includes Japanese phone cards, New Zealand centennial souvenirs, turtles, dolls, vintage car accessories, fridge magnets and Walt Disney stamps. The second runs from January 26 until March 23, with miniature teapots, ink wells, padlocks, batman toys, thimbles and salt and pepper shakers.
