The regional Maritime Museum at Port Chalmers, in the historic post and telegraph office, showcases the social and maritime history of Otago and Antarctic exploration. Guided tours of harbour hulks are available through summer. The museum is open 9am to 3pm weekdays, 1.30pm to 4.30pm weekends and public holidays.
