Peak practice on Canadian ski slopes

Canada's Sun Peaks Resort is to invest another $C70 million ($110 million) on lift and trail development.

The work will bring the skiable terrain at the British Columbian resort to 1380ha. Also on the works list is an 18-hole par 72, Graham Cooke-designed golf course, a 230-room hotel and new townhouses.

The hotel is scheduled to open for Christmas next year.
