Paihia starting point for keen divers

When Paihia Dive instructors talk of "an amazing bottom", there's not a cheek in sight. They're more likely to be touting the topography of the sea-bed at the best scuba-diving spots in the Bay of Islands.

Tropical and temperate fish, animal, plant and bird life, plus historic, internationally controversial and stunningly beautiful wreck diving are all part of the dive experience offered by Paihia Dive.

Numerous diving locations include the wreck of the Greenpeace flagship, Rainbow Warrior. Relocated and laid to rest in the Bay of Islands, the ship now teems with marine life.
