Scared of heights but still want to soak up the view on top of Sydney's most iconic sails?
Soon visitors to the Sydney Opera House will be able to 'climb' to the 65 metre peak at the top of the building as part of a virtual reality tour.
The Climbing the Sails tour, devised in partnership with tech company Samsung Australia, forms part of the NSW government's A$202 million ($212 million) funding package to redevelop the World Heritage-listed site.
Next week's state budget will release the first A$12 million of the funding commitment, Deputy Premier and Minister for the Arts Troy Grant and Treasurer Gladys Berejiklian have announced.
The funding will go towards planning and designing the first projects in the Opera House renewal, including massive improvements to the Concert Hall, the entry points and foyers, and building new creative learning and function centres.
