On the rails in Huntly

An hour's drive south of Auckland, Huntly's Bush Tramway is open to the public this Sunday as a Father's Day special, and on the first Sunday of every month from April to December.

For $8 for adults and a $4 for children (preschoolers ride free) you can take as many as six jaunts aboard the tramway society's historic railcar. The tramway is 10km west of Huntly and provides a 20-minute round trip. To enjoy six rides in a day, you'll have to catch the first jaunt at 10.30am.
