We continue our series of the top 20 destinations of readers. By TIFFANY LEEDER
Still dreaming, I envision the extraordinary sights I am about to wake to.
One eye opens at a time and a smile spreads across my face as I contract and relax every muscle in preparation for the day ahead.
My first glimpse of Capri Island took my mind off the tired, aching muscles that were testament to a strenuous but breathtaking day of sightseeing in Naples.
I successfully quenched my fashion thirst, shopping at the hill of Vomero. Watching sulphur steam from inside the Solfatara volcano was spectacular.
Wrapped in a luxurious robe I make my way along the cool white marble floor, following the beam of sunlight showering in from the tropical bliss upon my door step.
Staying at the Hotel La Minerva is all I expect. The spacious rooms are clutter-free, yet consist of every item needed to relax in style.
Stepping out on the balcony, I enjoy the fresh air while the sun kisses my skin good morning. I close my eyes and think of the day's itinerary.
Relaxation is the key, so a cruise around the turquoise waters of the island, exploring secluded bays, is the perfect way to wind down, followed by a venture through the Blue Grotto, to experience the surreal phenomenon of sunlight reflection, which remains an island treasure. This is my dream holiday.

Things to see and do
No visit to Capri is complete without at least a few hours spent on the Mediterranean sea surrounding the island.
Whether you choose to join an organised tour or to rent a private boat with captain, taking to the turquoise waters is the only way to explore some of the most beautiful parts of the island.
Visit Anacapri and Mt Solaro, the highest place on the island (589m above sea level). You can walk there or take the chairlift.
Shopping in Capri is a marvellous opportunity to witness the making of those traditional products for which the island is famous.
Resident artists open their studios, inviting passers-by and collectors to watch them at work and to browse through the exhibitions of paintings and sculptures.
