Nifty gadgets help ease the load for travellers

Some wonderful gadgets are around these days to help the bold traveller survive in a tricky world.

Those international power adapters allow you to plug in your Kiwi razor or mobile phone charger just about anywhere.

The good old, reliable Swiss Army knife lets you trim your nails, cut a length of rope, open a can of beans or bottle of wine, tighten a loose screw, pluck a thorn from your foot and remove a stone from a horse's hoof, should you have the need.

It is even possible to get a decent night's sleep if you use the right fragrant oils, headphones, neck pillow and eye mask.
