Top of the Rock

Ground Zero Workshop

As well as visiting the 9/11 Memorial Pools and Museum at Ground Zero, the Ground Zero Museum Workshop Tour shows visitors what it was like to be among firefighters after the attacks. The workshop is an eight-minute trip by taxi from the 9/11 Memorial and is child-friendly and interactive.

Museum of Modern Art

MoMA in Midtown is often regarded as the most influential museum of modern art in the world. And don't forget the museum restaurant The Modern, run by Alsace-born chef Gabriel Kreuther.

Staten Island Ferry

It's free to travel on the Staten Island Ferry between Staten Island and Whitehall Street in Lower Manhattan. You'll catch some great views of the financial district and Lower Manhattan.

Roosevelt Island Aerial Tram

For a different mode of transport, take the ride on the aerial Roosevelt Island Tramway spanning the East River and connecting Roosevelt Island to the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Views are of Midtown and Lower Manhattan.
