While staying, mothers and their babies can enjoy a life of luxury, which includes everything from gourmet meals and breast pump cleaning services to homemade lactation cookies and massage therapy.
As one can imagine, all this opulence does not come cheap.
One night costs US$1,450 to US$1,950 (NZ$2300 to $3100) and guests check in for three, five or seven nights.
This means a new mother could be shelling out up to $21,700 for a week-long stay.
Founder Boram Nam, said the concept came from her home country, Korea, where postnatal hotels are common. As her friends had children, Nam said she could see the way they benefitted from the support and care immediately following birth.
In the US, however, Boram is one of the first of its kind.
As a city, New York's value of independence and individualism can be exciting but for a new parent, it could easily feel isolating.
So, Nam said she wanted Boram to be 'the village' it supposedly takes to raise a baby, for those who do not have one of their own.
Rooms are kitted out with large marble soaking tubs, a Swedish Duxiana bed (which cost $12,000), room service menus custom designed for post-birth nutrition, and hospital-grade bassinets.
"Our baby room is open around the clock, allowing you to rest while your baby is looked after by our care team," states the retreat website.
Mothers who stay are supported physically, nutritionally and mentally by a team of experts during what Boram describes as the 'fourth trimester'.
Although, it's not all kicking back and relaxing. Mothers are also upskilled in how to care for their brand new baby with workshops on topics like newborn safety and breastfeeding, healthy sleep habits and diaper changing.
